The Cancellation Expenses guarantee must be contracted from the moment of making the trip reservation until it is confirmed. It may also be contracted during the 7 days following confirmation of the reservation, in which case a waiting period of 72 hours will apply from the date of contracting the insurance.

Guaranteed grounds for cancellation

1. For health reasons.

1.1 Death, serious bodily accident or serious illness:

· Of the INSURED or any person indicated in the definition of RELATIVES. In the case of first-degree offspring who are less than 24 months old, their illness will not be required to be considered serious.
· This coverage will also be applicable when the hospitalized or deceased person has any of the aforementioned relationships with the spouse, de facto partner or person who, as such, lives permanently with the INSURED.
· Of the person in charge during the trip of the custody of the minor children or disabled relatives of the INSURED who are legally in his or her care.
· From the INSURED's direct superior, in his or her workplace, whenever this circumstance prevents him or her from making the trip due to the requirement of the Company of which he or she is an employee.
In relation to the INSURED, serious illness means an alteration in health that implies hospitalization or the need for
stay in bed, within 7 days prior to the trip, and that, medically, makes it impossible to start the trip on the scheduled date.
A serious accident means bodily harm, unintentional on the part of the victim, resulting from the sudden action of a cause.

1.7. Serious complications in the state of pregnancy that, by medical prescription, require rest or require hospitalization of the INSURED, his or her spouse, de facto partner or person who as such lives permanently with the INSURED, provided that said complications have occurred after the policy was contracted and the continuity or necessary development of said pregnancy is at serious risk.
1.8. Premature birth of the INSURED.

(This service can only be requested in cases of serious personal accident or serious illness of the insured).
If the insured suffers an illness or accident covered by the policy and has doubts about the possibility of making the trip, they can request a recommendation from the insurer through the assessment service prior to trip cancellation under the following conditions:
· The evaluation request will always be made before canceling the trip.
· The necessary documentation and information will be sent to the insurer to assess the situation of the insured as a whole.
· The insurer will provide, within a period of 72 working hours, an assessment of the possibility of making the trip on the scheduled date.
The assessment issued will be binding for the insurer and voluntary for the insured, who may decide whether to travel or not.
· If during the evaluation an increase in expenses occurs due to the cancellation of the trip, the insurer will assume it, in accordance with the sales conditions of the agency previously sent by the insured.
· If the insured does not follow the insurer's assessment and as a consequence there is an increase in the trip cancellation costs, said increase will be the responsibility of the INSURED.

2. For legal reasons:

2.1. Calls, as a party, witness or jury in a Civil, Criminal, or Labor Court.

Those cases in which the Insured is cited as being investigated for processes initiated before contracting the trip and insurance will be excluded. For the rest of the appearances, the summons must be made after the trip and insurance has been contracted.
2.2 Call as a member of a polling station, for elections at the state, autonomous or municipal level.

2.3. Call for presentation and signing of official documents.

2.4. Delivery of a child for adoption, which coincides with the planned dates of the trip.

2.5. Summons for divorce proceedings.

2.6. No unexpected granting of visas.

2.7. Police detention for non-criminal reasons.

2.8. Imposition of a traffic fine whose amount exceeds €600, as long as both the infraction committed and the knowledge of its sanction had occurred after the reservation was contracted.
2.9. Withdrawal of the driving license, as long as the vehicle was to be used as a means of transportation to complete the trip and none of the INSURED's companions could replace him or her in driving the vehicle.

3. For work reasons.

3.1. Professional, non-disciplinary dismissal of the INSURED.

However, the above and provided that the trip is not canceled by the INSURED. Natural persons who are holders or co-holders of a loan to finance a trip, who are working as an employee at the time of contracting the trip and insurance, will be insured by this coverage.
They will be entitled to unemployment coverage when:

3) Whenever the insured decides to continue with their trip and it has finally taken place.

The INSURER will pay the cost of the regular installments pending amortization, up to a maximum of 6 installments, in order to prevent the INSURED from being forced to cancel said trip.
The maximum amount to be paid by the INSURER will be 50% of the cost of the cancellation expenses that would have been generated if said trip had been canceled at the time of learning of the termination of the employment contract.
This coverage cannot be accumulated nor would it complement the trip cancellation guarantee. If the trip is canceled for any of the other reasons reflected in the policy conditions and compensation has already been paid for this coverage, the amount paid under this coverage will be deducted from the total amount of the cancellation expenses generated. coverage.

3.2. Presentation of Employment Regulation File that directly affects the INSURED as an employed worker, seeing their working hours reduced, totally or partially. This circumstance must occur after the date of subscription of the insurance.

3.3. 3.4. Geographic transfer of the job provided that it involves a change of address of the Insured during the planned dates of the trip and it is an employed worker.

3.5. Presentation to official opposition exams, both as an opponent or as a member of the opposition tribunal, convened and announced through a public body after the insurance has been taken out and that coincides with the dates of the trip.

3.6. Dismissal of the parents of the INSURED, as long as your trip had been paid for by them.

3.7. Extension of employment contract.

4. For extraordinary reasons

4.1. Air piracy act that makes it impossible for the INSURED to start their trip on the scheduled dates.

4.2. Declaration of catastrophic area or epidemic at the destination of the trip.

4.3. Judicial declaration of suspension of payments or bankruptcy of the company in which the INSURED works.

4.4. Serious damage caused by fire, explosion, theft or force of nature, to your primary or secondary residence, or in their professional premises if the INSURED practices a liberal profession or runs a company and their presence is imperatively necessary.

4.5. Requirement for incorporation, due to exceptional service needs that are fully justifiable, urgent and inexcusable to the Armed Forces, Police or Firefighters, provided that the insured belongs to said bodies and provided that the incorporation requirement must occur after contracting the insurance and was not known about it at the time of making the reservation.

5. Other causes

5.1. Request made by the Tax Agency to present a complementary income tax return whose final effective result requires the INSURED to pay an additional amount greater than €600.

5.2. Cancellation of the person who must accompany the INSURED on the trip, registered at the same time as the INSURED and insured by this same contract, provided that the cancellation has its origin in one of the causes listed above and, due to this, the INSURED has to travel alone.

5.3. Breakdown or accident in the vehicle owned by the INSURED that makes it impossible for the INSURED to start the trip.
Notwithstanding the above, and provided that the INSURED does not cancel the trip, the INSURER will guarantee reimbursement of the reasonable and justified expenses of renting a vehicle to continue your trip as initially planned. The maximum amount to be paid by the INSURER will be the lower of the following amounts:
a) 50% of the cost of the cancellation expenses that would have been generated if said trip had been canceled at the time of the accident or breakdown, or
b) 50% of the insured sum of the trip cancellation guarantee
This coverage cannot be accumulated or complementary to the trip cancellation guarantee.
If the trip is canceled for any of the other reasons reflected in the policy conditions, and compensation has already been paid for this coverage, the amount paid will be deducted from the total amount of the cancellation expenses generated. this coverage.

5.4. Theft of documentation or luggage that makes it impossible for the INSURED to begin the trip.
